What's New at Jerome's Home
| August 28, 2002 - Biggest "buddies" update EVAR! In order to accommodate all the new buddies, we had to shift a few around to keep the pages balanced so we created a new buddieslist page which shows where each buddy is located. - We've added a couple dozen new pics, some new pics of old buddies, but mostly just lots and lots of new buddies! Check out Aizle & Devil, DK, Drake, Ares, Duchess & Woody, Sam, Missy, Pebbles & Bam Bam, Lennox & Milan, Lex, Sully, Duncan, Crooked, and William Wallace. - We've also noted the passing of some of our buddies who've crossed the Rainbow Bridge with a special icon.  - Added links to two more catteries: Amber Snow and BirchCrest. March 29, 2003 - More link updates. Added Coupari, Pumpkin, Dancing With Cats. Noted the passing of Meyer, Therapy Cat, on March 26, 2003. March 27, 2003 - My apologies for the long delay in updating the site. There's a lot more to do, and we have a ton of "buddy" pics to add, so please be patient and check back soon. I decided to work on updating the links first, a lot of Scottish Fold catteries have come on-line over the past year, and there were also a lot of broken links. I probably haven't gotten all of them yet, so if you know of any updates, please email me. - We are very sad to report the sudden and unexpected passing of my bestest buddy, Gizmo Gadget, on New Year's Day. He was only 4-1/2 years old. He appeared to have died in his sleep. - Added links to more catteries: Tourmaline, Tortipuss, Souris, Scotsheath, Owhl, Rejinald, Denimar, Kathaven, Shannaye, Mor Harlech, Lakeview, Pendlemist, Sunny City, Nielcats, Featherchase, Diablotins du Verger, Bovias, Glencairn, Poleposition. Missing: R.P.M. and Eadaoin. - Removed WebbieWorld and Cat Ring links from the home page, they weren't really sending us any traffic. Also removed my "store" as y'all weren't buying anything anyway. A number of these are in languages other than English, but you can still enjoy the pictures even if you don't speak the language! October 5, 2001 - Jerome's Store is now open for business! In conjunction with Amazon.com we are pleased to offer books of interest to Scottish Fold lovers, including the brand new Norton book, "The Cat Who'll Live Forever". In conjunction with PetsMart.com you can buy all the "stuff" you need. Proceeds from all sales will go directly to the Scottish Fold Rescue & Adoption Network to help Folds in need. - Added a new buddy, Nani Boy, from Hawaii. July 7, 2001 - Added a pic of Jerome lounging on the keyboard tray of hubby's computer desk to the about page. - Added links to Muspilli Cattery in Germany, Rem & Sidney's Page, Petfo.com, KittySites.com and fixed a number of outdated links. - Added a new award from the Cat Collective. - Added a whole bunch of new buddies pics: Three shots of glamour puss Whiskey-A-Go-Go by world-famous photographer Chanan accessible from the ninth buddies page, along with two new buddies, Magnuson and Cinnamon. Started a tenth buddies page with Bonne Braveheart, Jimmie and five of Joan Lee's cats from Hong King: Siu-Fa, Jo-Jo, Kitty, Siu-Bo and Siu-Pa! March 25, 2001 - Added a new buddy, Wiskey-A-Go-Go. - In fact, we've got so many buddies now, we added a ninth page (!) to more evenly distribute the pics for faster download time. If you're a recent buddy and wonder where your pics went, try the next page, as some pics were shifted around. - Corrected several outdated links. September 6, 1999 - Designed a first-ever "Honorary Scottish Fold" award for my buddy, Soxy. August 30, 1999 - Added a very special new buddy, Soxy (AKA Sparkey). August 14, 1999 - Added two new buddies, Mac Mahor Mackensie from Canada, and Karnaki Isle o' Skye from South Africa. - Added a link to Karnaki Cattery on the Links page. July 31, 1999 - A whole slew of new buddies went up today! There are four new pics of Cleo and McDuff, three new buddies from Tucson and a Buddha sitter named MacTavish. - Added a link to Urquhart and changed the one to Linanci on the Links page. July 9, 1999 - We've deciding that maintaining "mirror" sites is a wasted effort, so will no longer be updating the old xoom site. Be sure to bookmark this site and delete your old bookmark if you had one. July 4, 1999 - Added two new pictures of Gizmo to Gizmo's Gallery. - Deleted Gizmo's soccer movie, as while it played fine on my Mac, we had problems with it on the PC. We'll have a new Gizmo movie soon, we promise! June 20, 1999 - After the huge success of my first movie, we've added one of Gizmo playing soccer. (Read the paragraph below before clicking the link, as it applies to this one as well.) June 12, 1999 - Added Jerome's first movie to the site! This is a 15-second MPEG movie and you will need to have your system set up for video (e.g., have the QuickTime plug-in or equivalent that can handle MPEGs). Once you click on the link above, the movie will start downloading. It's 1.4 megabytes, so will take several minutes to download, depending on your modem and connection. - Fixed the Link to Vicki Cleaver's Ultimate Cat Page, as the URL had changed. January 25, 1999 - Added several new pics of Jerome to the All About Me! page. - Added a new "Featured Buddy" page for Gizmo with a bunch of new pics. - Added a new pic of Katie to the Buddies section. - Added the Kit Cat'z Golden Award to the Awards section. - Re-did the rest of the pages on the site so that now all thumbnails will open in a new browser window. The only exception is the "Featured Buddy" pages. When you visit a "Featured Buddy" page, just use the navigation bar on the left or the link at the bottom to return to the main Buddies page or move on to another part of the site. January 17, 1999 - Added this "What's New" page so you can find the latest updates fast. - Added a pic of my newest buddy, Mumbles, to the Buddies section. - Added a new pic of my little brother Gizmo to the Buddies section. - Added a new pic of Jerome to the All About Me! page. - Re-did the All About Me! page so that all full-size pics will open in a new browser window when a thumbnail is clicked. (I did this so you don't have to wait for the page to re-load from cache, which is what happens if you have to hit the "back" button.) |
